TBC Corporation has increased student scholarships and partnerships at Florida Atlantic University (FAU) and Palm Beach State College (PBSC), both located near its Palm Beach Gardens, Florida headquarters.
Florida Atlantic University Collaboration
Florida Atlantic University’s College of Business named a study room in honor of a gift from TBC. The TBC Corporation Study Room is located in the Executive Education Building in the Schmidt Family Complex. It supports college programs and student activities. TBC Corporation provides guest speakers and co-hosts networking events to inform students about internships and career opportunities. Students primarily use the space, but it also serves for events such as conference breakout sessions and external meetings.
“We’re proud to have our company name associated with a space that will be used by the next generation of business leaders at Florida Atlantic’s College of Business,” said Don Byrd, chief executive officer, TBC Corporation. “This partnership will provide access to networking, mentoring and potential career opportunities for future leaders in South Florida.”
TBC Corporation Student Scholarships for Palm Beach State College
TBC Corporation awarded five student scholarships, totaling $15,000, to PBSC students. The scholarship goes to students who completed their Associate of Science degree and plan to pursue a bachelor’s degree in supervision and management. The company presented the awards at PBSC’s Academic Excellence & Student Service Awards ceremony. These scholarships help students prepare for careers in entrepreneurship, general management, project management, or business management. To qualify, students must demonstrate financial need, maintain a minimum GPA of 2.8, and meet specific program requirements.
“We’re proud to partner with Palm Beach State College to support local students with their educational pursuits,” said Megan Filoon, Chief Human Resources Officer for TBC Corporation. “Education is a key driver of innovation and progress.”
