The Pro-Cut X19 cordless brake lathe has been approved by Subaru for use at its dealerships and authorized service providers. This tool allows Subaru technicians to perform precise, efficient on-car brake service and repair with enhanced productivity, it said.
“The Pro-Cut X19 ranks among the most technologically advanced on-car brake lathes available. Because it is the first cordless on-car lathe, it enhances productivity and offers versatility like no other,” said Jeff Hastings, president of Pro-Cut. “We want to thank Subaru for approving the X19 for use by Subaru service providers. By repairing, not replacing brake rotors, the increased profitability, customer satisfaction and environmental benefits are a win-win for Subaru dealers and vehicle owners.”
Cordless Brake Lathe with Global Rotor Matching System
The Pro-Cut X19 cordless brake lathe features an on-car rotor matching system. A 48-volt, 50-ampere-hour rechargeable lithium iron phosphate battery powers the brake lather. It can also machine up to 30 discs on a single charge. That translates to over eight hours of continuous service.
The unit also plugs into standard wall power for uninterrupted operation. Further, Subaru said service departments now gain the ability to service brake rotors directly on the vehicle, helping avoid unnecessary part replacements.
