Sport Auto suspects this may be the case, and to remedy this situation its latest summer tyre test highlights what is available for this under-served segment, what products are good, and who the tyres are best suited to. The motoring publication looked at the tyre size 205/45 R17, using a Mazda MX-5 to evaluate seven brands. The MX-5 weighs, incidentally, just under half as much as the stoutest of its UK market SUV stablemates, the Mazda CX-80.
