MAN Truck & Bus has unveiled a new variant of its eTGL, equipped with a refrigerated body. On this 12-ton truck, a high-voltage interface powers the refrigeration unit directly from the vehicle’s electrical grid, saving weight as no additional battery is required. In this configuration, the MAN eTGL has a usable battery capacity of 160 kWh, offering a range of up to 310 kilometers without intermediate charging. If such a range is not necessary, it is possible to carry fewer battery packs and thus achieve a payload of 6600 kg.
