Solutrans 2025 will be a ‘Grand Cru’

Must read

Edition after edition, the Solutrans trade fair continues to grow and internationalize. The 2025 edition will be no exception, because the exhibition area has been increased again and various manufacturers announce world premieres.

From 95,000 m² in 2023 the exhibition area of Solutrans to 100,000 m² will grow in 2025 and the presence of the large manufacturers of light and heavy commercial vehicles will be further strengthened. With regard to heavy trucks, only Iveco and Volvo Trucks will be absent, but two new brands will be added: Hyundai will exhibit the second generation of its hydrogen truck XCient FC and Windrose will be present with its electric R700, which is currently approved for the European market. As for curiosities, the Turkish manufacturer BMC and the Spanish manufacturer will also be present Irizar. A surprise could come from the Saudi group Aramco, which developed a hydrogen truck together with the Chinese company Hyperview. If that does not take place, Aramco (new partner of the stock market) will bring its synthetic fuels to the attention. A ‘hydrogen village’ will also bring together different exhibitors from this sector.

There will also be more manufacturers of light commercial vehicles on Solutrans. The Stellantis group, the presence of which was previously symbolic in 2023, has reserved a much larger position this time. Renault is expected to reveal his new Trafic, from the new electrical Flexis platform, in World Première. There is also the return of Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles and the presence of Ford Pro, Mercedes-Benz Vans, Isuzu, Kia, Toyota and Maxus, while some Chinese brands such as Guangxi and Jac Motors will try to make a name for themselves. Specifically aimed at the French market, retrofit solutions will be presented by Hyliko (hydrogen) and by various French companies in the field of light commercial vehicles.

The international status of Solutrans today is out of doubt, as witnessed by the prizes of the International Truck of the Year, International of of the Year, International Pick-Up Award and the Truck Innovation Awards. Due to this increasing internationalization, the share of foreign visitors, which was 24 % in 2023, will probably increase even further. Belgium is the fourth country with the most visitors, after France, Italy and Spain. By the way, 11 Belgian exhibitors are already present.
