SNAP launches bookable truck parking across Europe

Must read

SNAP, the digital solutions provider for international mobility, is rolling out bookable truck parking across its European network this summer. The new functionality enables truck drivers and fleet managers to reserve parking spaces in advance, relieving pressure on Europe’s strained parking infrastructure and improving compliance and driver welfare.

The rollout comes at a critical time for the logistics industry, which continues to face a chronic shortage of secure rest areas, tightening regulations on driving hours, and increasing pressure to improve operational efficiency.

“With over 200,000 drivers on our platform and partnerships with more than 800 sites, SNAP brings predictability and control to truck parking,” said Matthew Bellamy, Managing Director at SNAP.

“Our bookable technology is helping fleets plan more effectively and enabling site operators to manage capacity smarter.”

In the past six months, SNAP has seen a 6% increase in truck parking bookings across its network, highlighting growing demand from hauliers for guaranteed rest locations. This upward trend reflects a broader industry shift toward planned, compliant journeys powered by digital tools.

Big fleet operators have expressed strong interest in being able to book parking and manage costs through SNAP’s service partner network. Now, fleet managers and drivers can secure spaces in advance, via SNAP’s online platform or the intruck app, driving more bookings to service sites and enhancing overall network utilisation.

The system enables real-time visibility of vehicle arrivals, helping site operators reduce congestion, allocate resources efficiently, and maximise space usage. Additionally, operators can control the number of bookable spaces at their sites, allowing them to adapt to changing conditions and optimise revenue.

SNAP’s booking technology has a simple integration process, enabling service partners to become bookable with minimal disruption. The company reports high levels of engagement from drivers, who continue to express interest in booking at more partner locations across Europe.

The technology is already live at several pilot locations, and a full rollout is planned across high-demand freight corridors throughout the continent.

The new booking feature is accessible through SNAP’s digital platform and integrates seamlessly with existing partner sites. It marks a shift towards more predictable routing, safer rest periods, and greater regulatory compliance for hauliers.
