The Sitra Group continues its European expansion with the acquisition of the German company Marlep Tanklogistik GmbH, which specializes in the international transport of temperature-controlled liquid raw materials for the food industry.
Since Creafund entered the capital, Sitra has been following a quite spectacular external growth strategy: Riotto (Italy) in 2022, Abbey Logistics group (United Kingdom) in 2023 and Albert Keijzer (Netherlands) in March 2025. Sitra has found its new asset in Germany, more specifically in Hamburg, where Marlep Tanklogistik is active, a young company (founded in 2010) with a turnover of 30 million euro realizes with more than 100 employees and a fleet of 50 trucks and 70 trailers. Marlep also has a branch near Gdansk, Poland.
“The Sitra Group is pleased to welcome Marlep to the large Sitra family. Marlep is known for its first-class service to its customers, which is why we were keen to bring this company into our group,” said David Saelens, Executive Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Sitra Group. He also confirms that Sitra has the ambition to achieve an annual turnover of 500 million euros in the coming years thanks to organic growth and an acquisition and development plan. Sitra currently has an annual turnover of more than 300 million euros and employs more than 1,600 people in 12 countries. The fleet consists of more than 1,000 trucks and 2,500 semi-trailers/containers, including tankers for liquid and powdered foodstuffs.
