Chinese bead wire and steel cord maker Shandong Daye Co. Ltd. has provided an update on its project in Morocco, reporting the recent signing of a land transfer agreement with the Mohammed VI Tangier Science and Technology City. The company intends to establish a facility in this Sino-Moroccan smart city complex near Tangier, with Phase One of its project scheduled for completion by the end of 2026. Shandong Daye expects large-scale supply to commence in mid-2027 and is aiming for an annual production capacity of 100,000 tonnes of steel cord.
