The S.BO Multi is the new double-decker semi-trailer from Schmitz Cargobull for the transport of dry goods. The engineers have strived to make this trailer particularly versatile and adaptable to varying loading conditions.
The most important innovation of the S.BO Multi is the system that allows the creation of a second loading floor: aluminum rails with a length of 2050 mm and a spacing of 1200 mm are combined with plates with keyhole-shaped openings. In this way, regardless of the type of goods being transported (whether on pallets or not), the load can be secured with locking bars, clothing bars, tension straps or nets.
The side walls are made of double-walled galvanized steel with reinforced posts. The roof and front wall of aluminum planks were taken from the S.BO Express. The doors are made of aluminium, but an aluminum roller door is available as an option. The whole naturally complies with the DIN EN 12642 Code XL standard (for a loading capacity of 27 tons).
The chassis is a bolted and galvanized construction, but for applications requiring a gross weight of 44 tonnes or more, an X-Tough version is available as an option.
