The Scania Torhout service team has won the national final of the Scania Top Team Competition for the third time in a row. This allows Scania Torhout Belgium to represent in the international final series that starts in September in Trento (Italy).
The Scania Torhout team consists of team captain Davy Vanhauter, Maxim van Isacker, Arne Deweer, Rik Feryn and Kevin Declerck. “Every member of the team has his own specialty and the strength lies in the optimum bundling of these specialties during a series of assignments that must be carried out under time pressure. I am very proud that our team has won this prestigious prize. The team spirit is good for us and we have prepared well for this final. The necessary hours have come to sit and these hours were not only made by this team, but also by the other colleagues from our workshop who had to take over work. I hope that the success of these men will inspire other young people into a career in this industry, “said Maarten Frimout, the service manager of Scania Torhout. If Scania Torhout is successful in Trento, they will eventually, as one of the 12 teams, penetrate the world final that will take place next year at the Scania Headquarters in Södertälje (Sweden).
