Scania Torhout finishes 4th in the Scania Top Team competition

Must read

Last weekend the last European final of the Scania Top Team competition took place in Italy. Nine teams competed against each other to get a ticket for the world finals. Scania Torhout’s Belgian service team finished in fourth place.

The teams must complete ten assignments that cover all disciplines in the workshop. Both theoretical knowledge and speed of action are tested when solving various technical issues. Obstacles in obtaining the right parts also have to be overcome. Scania Torhout competed against teams from the Netherlands, Hungary, Germany, Austria, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland and Switzerland. After an exciting day of competition, Austria and Germany managed to obtain the two tickets for the world final, which will take place from 4 to 9 May 2026 in Södertälje, Sweden. They thus join the winners of the previous European partial finals: Finland, Sweden, France and Italy.

Scania Torhout was on this international stage for the first time and once again proved its class. It was a special experience for technician Maxim Van Isacker: “The environment here is fantastic and you learn a lot from the Top Team event. Moreover, it is nice to meet participants from other countries and exchange experiences,” he says enthusiastically. “Top Team is very important for Scania. It strengthens competencies, team spirit and service quality. The people make Scania and we are happy to invest in them. It is a great experience,” emphasizes Jürgen Crombez, Service Director of Scania Belux.
