Sanofi uses a Renault E-Tech T

Must read

The French pharmaceutical group Sanofi has a factory in Belgium, more specifically in Geel. The company itself manages the shuttle transport between the factory and the nearby Kuehne+Nagel warehouse and now uses an electric truck: a Renault Trucks E-Tech T supplied by Noyens Trucks.

The truck is an 18-ton E-Tech T 4×2, equipped with an isothermal body, a Thermo King cooling unit and five battery packs. That’s enough to guarantee it a range of 300 to 400 kilometers, depending on road conditions. Since the shuttles are short (four round trips per day over a distance of 11 miles), the truck may only need to be charged once a week at the Kuehne+Nagel site. It was financed through a ‘Total Offer’ from Renault Trucks Financial Services.
