Sales of Mercedes-Benz Trucks are increasing significantly

Must read

Daimler Truck has announced its financial and operating results for the third quarter. Although the overall results are negatively affected by a bad economic situation in the United States, the pleasant surprise comes from a significant rebound in sales in Europe.

“The Group’s results were affected by the ongoing difficulties in the North American truck market, where customers remain cautious and cautious in a context of a very weak freight market and regulatory uncertainty,” Daimler Truck said in its commentary on results in the US, where sales fell by 25% in the first three quarters of 2025 and by as much as 39% in the third quarter.

In Europe, the situation is exactly the opposite: over the first three quarters, sales are still down 4%, but sales in the third quarter are up 31% compared to the third quarter of 2024. Mercedes-Benz Trucks’ order book is up 18% compared to a year ago, but this figure includes Europe, South America and Asia. Nevertheless, Karin Rådström, CEO of Daimler Truck, is pleased with the positive trend in Europe, a market where Mercedes-Benz has once again become the market leader with a market share of 17.8%.

In the third quarter, 1,833 electric vehicles were sold, an increase of 175% compared to 2024. However, this figure includes both trucks and buses.
