According to a statement issued by Russia’s Ministry of Economic Development on 9 July, plans are afoot to build a factory for producing ultra-large off-highway tyres within a special economic zone in the Omsk region of southwest Siberia. The plant’s construction will be the key development project within the Avangard SEZ, with the Ministry reporting an estimated investment of RUB 41.5 billion (£390.3 million / US$528.8 million) in the project.
