Renault Trucks is going to steal the show at Solutrans

Must read

Renault Trucks plays a home match at the Solutrans fair in Lyon. The French manufacturer will occupy a 900 m² stand and will announce three important novelties: in the field of light commercial vehicles, there may be a ‘red’ version of the new Renault Trafic, which Renault will present in a world premiere. We also expect a new evolution of the D range, but the star of the stand will be a T E-Tech Electric tractor with much greater autonomy than the current version. Since Volvo Trucks will be absent from the French fair, Renault Trucks may be the first to unveil the driveshaft technology, which replaces the traditional engine + transmission + axle architecture. The first teasers show a range of 600 kilometers and a battery capacity of… 780 kWh. The switch to eight battery packs is made possible by the 6×2 configuration with additional tag axle. This new T E-Tech can also charge its batteries according to the MCS standard (Megawatt Charging System), allowing a charge of 20 to 80% in just 40 minutes.
