Reduce recruitment intentions in the transport and logistics sector

Must read

In the third quarter of 2025, recruitments in the transport and logistics sector will fall. This is evident from the newest barometer research from ManpowerGroup.
Only 40% of Belgian employers in this sector provide additional recruitments by the end of September, while 34% plant a reduction in the workforce. The remaining 26% does not expect any change.

After seasonal correction, the net employment forecast (just employment outlook) comes out on a modest +6%. That is the lowest level in more than four years and means a decrease with 22 points compared to the previous quarter, and 24 points compared to Q3 2024. “One on two employers indicates that international economic uncertainty directly influences their recruitment decisions,” says Sébastien Delfosse, Managing Director of Manpowergroup.

The recruitment pace also slows down at the national level: the general employment forecasts fall to +20%, the lowest level since Q2 2023.
