Port of Antwerp-Bruges rose to the 13 in the first half of 2025the Place in the world ranking of container ports. According to the latest figures from Alphaliner Databank, the port treated 6.91 million TEU, a growth of 3.7% compared to the same period last year.
Port of Antwerp-Bruges climbs from the 15th to 13th place.
With 7.03 million TEU and a 12th place just before the Belgian port, while Hamburg (4.2 million TEU, 24th place) will show growth again after a few years of relapse. Internationally, the strong performance of Tanjung Pelepas in Malaysia (+15.4%) and the American west coast ports Los Angeles/Long Beach (+7.5%) stand out.
Little changes at the absolute top of the list. Shanghai remains undisputed number one with 27.06 million TEU (+6.1%), followed by Singapore with 21.72 million TEU (+7.2%) and Ningbo-Zhoushan with 21.05 million TEU (+9.9%).
