Following the reports that Pirelli is not currently producing any tyres at either its Burton or Carlisle factory, company representatives have shared an official statement confirming the details. The statement is published in full here:
“Pirelli UK can confirm that production at its Burton-on-Trent plant will be temporarily halted for 6 days from 24 October to 29 October and at its Carlisle plant from 26 October to 31 October. This pause in activity is to align output with prevailing market conditions. This is a temporary measure and the company remains fully committed to its UK operations. Pirelli continues to invest in its local manufacturing and recognises the strategic value of the UK market within its global footprint.”
