Paulig introduces electrical transport with eutraco

Must read

Food and beverage producer Paulig is already working with Eutraco on a logistics level. The two partners are now taking the next step by using electric trucks between the Paulig factory and the automated Eutraco warehouse in Roeselare.

Paulig produces tortilla chips in Roeselare and took part of the storage capacity in the Eutraco warehouse in Roeselare. The warehouse is only 6 km from the production location. “This is just the start of the measures we want to implement in Belgium and in every country where we are active. In Sweden we switched to electric trucks in 2024. In the long term we want to electrify all the transport over short distances,” says Kaisa Lippones, Senior Vice-President Sustainability, HSE & Communication and Managing Director of Paulig Belgium.

By electrifying part of his transport activities in Belgium, Paulig estimates that it will reduce emissions in his value chain by around 100 tons of CO2 per year. To use, all external storage capacity is just 6 km from the production location.
