The National Tyre Distributors Association presented its annual Tyre Industry Awards, the 12th of its kind, during its 96th Annual Dinner. Sponsoring the dinner was long-term supporter of the event, Maritime Cargo Services, while Sailun Tyres reached a decade of consecutive support for the awards as headline sponsor. The dinner and awards took place on 9 October at the DoubleTree by Hilton at StadiumMK in Milton Keynes following the annual Tyre Industry Conference. The NTDA Awards 2025 winners were:
- NTDA Chairman’s Award for Outstanding Contribution to the Tyre Industry, sponsored by Hankook, and recipient of NTDA honorary lifetime membership: Managing director of Kerr’s Tyres, Norman Kerr.
- NTDA chief executive’s Round and Black Award, sponsored by Kumho: Eden Tyres (chief executive Ian Andrew explained that Eden Tyres had assisted the NTDA with the production of a new suite of promotional videos, available to all members.)
- National Tyre Technician Apprentice of the Year Award, sponsored by Prometeon, listed nine finalists representing “beacons of hope” for the tyre industry, with Louis Townrow of HiQ Tyres and Autocare named the winner.
- Tyre Industry Environmental and Sustainable Solution of the Year, sponsored by the Worshipful Company of Wheelwrights: Hankook
- REACT Commercial Tyre Technician of the Year, sponsored by Michelin: Jon Billings from Universal Tyre Company
- Mobile Tyre Technician of the Year, sponsored by Autogem: Josh Sharp from HiQ Tyres and Autocare
