Tyre Stewardship Australia (TSA) recently published a new report that provides a comprehensive assessment of tyre consumption, use and recovery across Australia. This shows that as of 2023-24, the country recovered almost two-thirds of the approximately 537,000 tonnes of end-of-life tyres generated during the year. Around three-quarters of recovered material was exported, mainly as shredded tyres for energy applications.
