North Sea Port confirms Maarten den Dekker as CCSO

Must read

North Sea Port has officially appointed Maarten den Dekker as Chief Commercial & Sustainability Officer (CCSO). 34-year-old Den Dekker already took over the commercial portfolio on an interim basis last year, but has now been definitively confirmed in this role by the Supervisory Body. He also remains responsible for sustainability within the port authority.

Maarten Den Dekker has been working at North Sea Port for more than eight years and played a key role in the port’s strategic sustainability initiatives. He also remains director of the Dutch part of Smart Delta Resources, the partnership that must guide the industry in the region towards a climate-neutral cluster by 2050.

Digitalisation, a domain that Den Dekker has temporarily managed since September 2024, will now be taken over by COO Peter Van Parys and Head of Digital Els Verfaillie. The theme is now firmly anchored in the Impact 2030 strategic plan.

The full board of North Sea Port now consists of CEO Cas König, CCSO Maarten den Dekker, COO Peter Van Parys and CFO Sofie Monteyne.

At the beginning of this year, Transportmedia published a video interview with Maarten den Dekker:
