Building on its heritage as a winter tyre pioneer, Nokian Tyres has launched an innovative addition to its winter line up that seeks to close the gap between studded and non-studded tyres. Primarily aimed at those facing the harshest winter conditions in North America and Nordic markets, the Hakkapellita 01 features retractable studs that adapt to temperature, withdrawing when it is warmer, but protruding when cold.
