Nijman/Zeetank was taken over by TPG (Trans Polonia)

Must read

TPG, a Polish transport group that had previously taken over J. Deckers & Zn in Belgium, has again made a big stroke with the acquisition of the Dutch transport group Nijman/Zeetank Holding BV, specialized in ADR transport and Glastransport. As a result, it more than doubles its strength in Europe.

Nijman/Zeetank specializes in logistics solutions for glass (including internal logistics and storage) and liquid raw materials such as chemicals, fuels, oils and gas. The Dutch group is not directly present in Belgium, but in five other European countries: of course in the Netherlands with a logistics center in Spijkenisse, but also in Poland (Sandomierz), the United Kingdom (St. Helens at Liverpool and Hull) and Germany. The company has 648 vehicles and 530 fuel containers and achieved a turnover of around 70 million euros in 2024 with an EBITDA margin of 14.5%.

One of the assets of Nijman/Zeetank is the direct access to the port of Rotterdam, so that TPG can develop in the field of intermodal transport solutions for liquid raw materials. Thanks to this takeover, the Polish group can also extend its geographical coverage to the United Kingdom and the Netherlands and diversify in the transport of glass. The combined TPG fleet will include more than 1000 means of transport.

The total value of the transaction is set at a maximum of 34.9 million euros, whereby the final price depends on the obtaining of performance indicators laid down in the agreement. Kees van Noordt, general manager of the Nijman/Zeetank group, will stay on and will remain involved in the commercial activities for two years after the acquisition.
