Continental Tire announced a leadership transition in which Bill Caldwell, senior vice president of sales and marketing for the U.S. PLT (passenger and light truck) replacement business, plans to retire this month. Chris Charity is set to take over the role.
Caldwell has led the U.S. PLT replacement segment since 2009, following his earlier leadership of the company’s OE Key Account Management team in Auburn Hills. During his time at the helm, both the Continental and General Tire brands saw significant growth in the U.S. market, the company said. Caldwell is credited with helping define Continental’s strategic direction and strengthening its presence in the replacement tire segment.
