The Belgian art logistics specialist Mobull, part of the International Hasenkamp Group, is building a new art depot in Brussels and strengthens its position with the acquisition of the Antwerp art transporter Scheck.
On the existing site in Brussels, a five-storey depot will be built by February 2026, good for 4,000 m² of climate-controlled storage space. In addition to safe storage, there is also room for a showroom and restoration studio. “In this way we respond to the growing needs of Belgian customers,” says Marc Maertens, Managing Director of Mobull.
The building is heated sustainably through geothermal energy, gets solar panels and an innovative gas extinguishing system. The facade is adorned with a portrait of René Magritte as a tribute to Belgian art.
Since 1 April 2025, Mobull has also been active in Antwerp after the takeover of art operator Scheck. The existing team remains on board under the new name Mobull Antwerp.
