Milwaukee Tool has introduced the M12 FUEL Subcompact Impact Wrenches and M12 FUEL Subcompact Impact Wrench Protective Boot. This subcompact lineup is designed for aftermarket mechanics and auto body technicians to perform light-duty work such as bumpers, fenders, engine work, brake calipers, and suspension. These tools offer up to 100 ft-lbs and 225 ft-lbs of nut-busting torque, and are lightweight for their class.
Available in 1/4-inch and 3/8-inch sizes, the M12 FUEL Subcompact Impact Wrenches with Friction Rings address common size, weight, and productivity issues. They are 2.2 inches shorter than competitive models, providing improved accessibility. These tools feature a 4-Mode drive control system for precision and adaptability, Milwaukee said. The company said this includes an auto shut-off mode that limits torque for hand-tight applications and a bolt removal mode that slows RPM to prevent fastener drops.

The M12 FUEL Subcompact Impact Wrench Protective Boot is designed to fit all M12 FUEL Subcompact Impact Wrenches (models 3049-20, 3048-20). It is form-fitting and lightweight, protecting the tools and work surface while adding minimal size or weight. The boot is made from a durable proprietary rubber that withstands corrosive materials commonly found in maintenance environments.
