Mickey Thompson Tires & Wheels introduced the Street Comp GHT, a next-generation ultra-ultra-high-performance (UUHP) summer tire designed for high-horsepower American muscle vehicles.
“Street Comp GHT is more than a new product. It’s a demonstration of our latest technology and a glimpse into the future of Mickey Thompson,” said John McDonough, senior product manager, race and street products at Mickey Thompson. “We’re investing in the street performance category with purpose. The GHT is engineered to deliver the kind of driving experience enthusiasts expect from our brand.”
The Street Comp GHT targets applications ranging from vintage muscle to modern V8 performance, Mickey Thompson said. It uses a new tread compound and reinforced construction to improve grip and control. The tire’s design focuses on predictable handling for cornering and straight-line performance, it said.
According to Mickey Thompson, key features include:
- Aggressive tread design that channels water away while enhancing dry traction and reducing road noise.
- Lightweight construction and an aerodynamic profile that improve steering response and reduce drag.
- Resin and silica-blended compound that supports wet performance and cornering control.
- Internal structure that boosts high-speed stability and consistent handling.
- Fitment focus on high-performance muscle and sports cars with an emphasis on precision and grip.
Mickey Thompson said the initial size lineup will be modest and centered on key fitments and applications. The Street Comp GHT will be available through authorized Mickey Thompson retailers beginning spring 2026.
