Michelin Launches Agilis CrossClimate 2 Tire for Commercial Fleets

Must read

Michelin announced it will be launching its new Agilis CrossClimate 2 tire for commercial fleets. The new all-weather commercial tire aims to support business fleets and tradespeople who rely on long-lasting, dependable traction in all conditions, Michelin said.

“Michelin recognizes the dedication of the workforce that keeps life in motion. We’ve created a tire that works just as hard,” said Pierluigi Cumo, VP of B2B Marketing at Michelin North America, Inc. “Customers need a tire forged with the same strength and resolve as the individuals whose drive fuels the community they serve. They are the few who drive the many.”

Agilis CrossClimate 2: Built for Protection, Longevity, and Control

The Agilis CrossClimate 2 incorporates Michelin’s CurbGard technology, which adds 70% more sidewall rubber than other leading competitors, Michelin said. This added protection helps prevent damage from curbs.

Compared to the competitors, Michelin said it provides 35% more mileage. In snowy conditions, it offers 35% better traction, thanks to its SipeLock technology. Hundreds of biting edges in the tread help enhance grip and control in demanding weather.

Fleet Benefits and Market Coverage

Michelin backs the Agilis CrossClimate 2 with two key guarantees — 20% more miles and a 60-day satisfaction guarantee. The tire’s design focuses on maximizing uptime and controlling operating costs for commercial operators, Michelin said.

Michelin will release the tire in 18 initial sizes. These cover more than 90% of the commercial light truck segment. Additional sizes will roll out in October, further expanding fitment for a wider range of work vehicles.
