The company Pieter Vereecke and Zonen, better known under the name Tanktransport Vereecke, has been taken over by the Group Mervelte. The latter thereby reinforces its strength in the field of tank transport of chemical liquids with around twenty extra vehicles.
Vereecke is a family business that was founded in 1931. In the 60s it started to specialize in the transport of dangerous products in tanks, especially for UCB. The company is still located in Evergem and has around twenty employees. “We are happy that we can transfer our family business to a like -consenting family business. We share the same DNA when it comes to respect for our people and excellent service for our customers. That is why we believe in this takeover. Our staff and our customers are in good hands,” said Kathleen Vereecke, who was head of the company with her brother Nico.
As is often the case with Mervelte, the activities will be continued under the same name.
