Mercedes-Benz Trucks will start selling its new electric eArocs 400 in April, a year after the official presentation at the Bauma trade fair. This will be the German brand’s first electric model specifically intended for the construction sector. The basic model will be produced at the Mercedes-Benz plant in Wörth am Rhein from the third quarter of 2026, after which the electric powertrain will be integrated by the Paul Group.
The eArocs 400 will initially be offered in two versions with a technically permissible total weight of 37 and 44 tons. It is available in an 8×4/4 axle configuration and with four different wheelbases. The vehicle is suitable for applications such as tipper trucks and concrete mixers and can be used in zones with low or no emissions. Its low noise emissions also make it ideal for residential areas and night-time construction sites.
