The Ghent company Masterbulk has taken over the activities of EOC Logistics, which, like Masterbulk, is active in the transport of chemical products in tank containers. Masterbulk will continue to provide transport for EOC Group, a major manufacturer of adhesives, binders, coatings and surfactants.
EOC Logistics (formerly known as Oudenaards Tank Transport) is based in Oudenaarde and had a fleet of 14 vehicles. The company employed about twenty people and achieved a turnover of almost 8 million euros. Since October 1, all these activities have been carried out by Masterbulk.
“On June 24, EOC announced that it had decided to transfer its logistics activities to Masterbulk. Thanks to this acquisition, Masterbulk will continue to provide the EOC group with the same high-quality transport services it relies on, guaranteeing the safe and efficient delivery of its high-quality chemical products. The EOC group can thus concentrate more on its core activities. For Masterbulk, this acquisition means a important new chapter in our growth, strengthening our position as a reliable logistics partner in the chemical industry,” says CEO Filip Slock.
The fleet of 90 trailers and all employees were taken over in their entirety. The employees will also continue to work in Oudenaarde and Evergem and in the same positions to ensure continuity. Masterbulk’s theoretical turnover is expected to increase to 31 or 32 million euros and the fleet will grow from 153 to 167 tractors.
