“It is an honor to recognize these two outstanding students as the first recipients of the Marvin Bozarth Memorial Scholarship,” said David Stevens, board member of the scholarship fund and managing director of TRIB. “Marvin devoted his career to elevating standards, education, and professionalism within the tire retread industry. These awardees embody the same drive for excellence and commitment to craftsmanship that defined his legacy.”

About the Scholarship Fund

TRIB created the scholarship program to support students pursuing education or training in automotive, tire, and transportation-related fields. The fund provides financial assistance for studies connected to tire retread and repair, tire maintenance, and other transportation trades.

Throughout his career, Marvin Bozarth offered leadership and technical expertise that shaped the tire retreading and repair industry. His work at the Tire Industry Association (TIA) and TRIB advanced training, safety, and best practices for technicians, TRIB said.

Bozarth’s dedication to education and craftsmanship left a lasting mark on the industry, inspiring the creation of this scholarship to carry forward his values.

Selection and Future Outlook

The selection committee evaluated applicants based on academic performance, passion for the field, and commitment to long-term career growth within the industry.

As support for the fund grows, TRIB plans to expand both the number and value of future awards.
