Due to the increase in the number of drive techniques, the number of parts required for the maintenance of a truck is also increasing. Man Truck & Bus has therefore expanded his most important logistics center in Salzgitter (Germany) by 30 %.
From Salzgitter, MAN supplies spare parts for his trucks, buses, vans and engines to customers and workshops in around 120 countries. However, due to the rise of emission -free technologies, 12,000 additional components must be stored, which means that the total number of references is 220,000. With the 53,000 m² extra that has now been taken into use, the logistics center of MAN has a built -up area of ​​235,000 m². This makes it possible, among other things, to guarantee the delivery of spare parts for each MAN model up to 15 years after the end of the series production.
