Major move for growing JSP hauliers

Must read

A family-run haulage firm in Manchester has relocated to a larger site as part of its ambitious growth strategy.

JSP Hauliers has invested £300,000 in a move to a new 1.8-acre site in Leigh, which benefits from high-spec warehousing and extensive storage facilities.

The firm, which was previously located in Worsley, has accelerated its expansion a year after joining the Pallet-Track network due to a major increase in the amount of palletised freight it now handles.

It has already created three new jobs following the relocation and plans to recruit more forklift truck (FLT) and HGV drivers as it continues to grow.

JSP Hauliers’ new site benefits from racked warehousing for 300 pallets and a 1.4-acre yard with outdoor storage and parking for more than 50 trucks.

The new location places JSP Hauliers closer to Pallet-Track’s northern hub in Ashton-in-Makerfield, where freight is sorted for onwards delivery, and at the heart of the area’s manufacturing and engineering businesses.

Steven Singh, Managing Director at JSP Hauliers, said: “This is an exciting time for our business and this upgrade is key to our growth plans.

“The relocation is the result of the growth we have achieved as part of our Pallet-Track membership and the new site will enable us to build on this by expanding our pallet delivery service and take on more customers.

“It’s a state-of-the-art warehouse that will enable us to make our operation more efficient as we grow, while also providing first-class facilities for all our staff.

“The location is perfect for our needs and will also allow us to improve the efficiency of our operation as it is much closer to the northern hub, compared to our previous site in Worlsey.”

Stuart Godman, CEO at Pallet-Track, said: “It is fantastic to see JSP Hauliers experiencing such fantastic growth just one year into their membership of our network.

“We extend our congratulations to Steven, and the team, on their success and look forward to watching the business continue to thrive.”

JSP Hauliers’ entire fleet is fuelled by Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil (HVO) – a renewable diesel that provides up to 90 per cent fewer greenhouse gas emissions than conventional diesel.

The company was founded in 2010 by Jarnial Singh, supported by sons Steven and Daniel Singh, and under the JSP Group, it has expanded and diversified to include vehicle maintenance, servicing, repairs, as well as skip hire.
