Lootens and Willy Naessens Industriebouw Building stacked factory along E17

Must read

Lootens, specialist in maximum glazed steel and aluminum joinery, is investing in the future with a brand new production site along the E17. For the design and realization of this innovative site, the company appeals to Willy Naessens Industriebouw. The first column will be placed next week.

On the 25,000 m² plot, the available space is used to the maximum thanks to a stacked construction concept. The steel production is done on the ground floor, with the aluminum department above it. According to CEO Jan Lootens, this design not only produces an extension of 10,000 m², but it also retains working comfort and logistical efficiency: “By building in height, we maximize space without compromises.”

Sustainable structure in concrete

Willy Naessens Industriebouw is responsible for the concrete structure of the production halls and warehouses. They include concrete columns, beams and a TT roof. This robust solution guarantees a sustainable and stable basis for the high -tech production environment.

Green roofs are also integrated between the offices and the company restaurant and there will be a green inner garden in the welding department. The design is in the hands of Van Damme Vandeputte Architects.
