The Dutch manufacturer of moving floor semi-trailers Kraker Trailers offers a new tool that uses the data from the sensors of its Moving Smart telematics system to support the fleet manager. There is also an online tool available to objectify the benefits of Moving Smart.
The Moving Smart sensors measure, among other things, the use of the sliding floor (frequency and total duration of use), the wear of the floor planks, the distribution of the load and the pressure and temperature of the oil in the sliding system, in addition to the more common functions such as localization, mileage and tire and brake monitoring. This way, malfunctions can be prevented. All this of course has a price, but Kraker Trailers has launched an online tool with which the theoretical return of the system can be calculated.
