Finland is home to a couple of thousand bears, but just one interests us. Kontio – the Finnish word for the ursine carnivore – is also the name of the country’s “other” tyre maker. Headquartered in the town of Nokia, not far from its larger and better-known competitor, Kontio Tyres offers a range of passenger vehicle and van tyres, including winter fitments. The latest addition to the portfolio is the Kontio WhitePaw Vintage whitewall tyre, which Kontio Tyres will showcase at The Tire Cologne 2026.
