Truckstop founder Scott Moscrip has returned as interim CEO after the sudden departure of Kendra Tucker.
The move brings the longtime freight technology executive back to the company he founded in 1995, as Truckstop undergoes a leadership shift during what it called a āpivotalā period for the business.
āIām honored to return and lead the company I founded during this pivotal time,ā Moscrip said in a statement. āTruckstop has always been centered on the customer, and Iām excited to continue driving innovations that help our customers run profitable businesses, operate with confidence, and have fun doing the work they love.ā
Moscrip led the company through its early growth, establishing Truckstop as one of the industryās leading digital freight marketplaces. The company became known for its load board platform, widely used by carriers and brokers operating in the spot market.
Tucker, who took the reins during the pandemic, stepped down from her role after helping expand Truckstopās service offerings. Her tenure saw the launch of tools focused on fraud protection and factoring ā services the company says are increasingly critical to its users.
āWe are grateful for her dedication and leadership,ā said Will Griffith, chair of the board.
The company has started a nationwide search for a permanent CEO.
