The third-party logistics (3PL) provider Kenco has launched a Contract Packaging Division, covering secondary packaging, saying the move will simplify customers’ operations and strengthen Kenco’s position as a one-stop shop for supply chain management.
Led by Rob Doyle, a group vice president at Kenco, the division will help customers adopt lean methodologies and real-time data insights to optimize packaging operations and reduce costs. In addition, the team will help automate and streamline processes to enhance performance, minimize waste, and use smart packaging solutions reduce customers’ environmental footprints.
The new unit’s capabilities will include: retail-ready packaging and displays; assembly, fulfillment and e-commerce; promotional and specialty packaging; labeling and compliance; and process optimization and continuous improvement.
“This new division will provide users the right packaging to make their products pop on the shelves while cutting costs and improving sustainability,” Doyle said in a release.
