In 2023, Katoen Natie put the very first Volvo FM Electric into use, which was produced at the factory in Ghent. The Antwerp logistics service provider has significantly expanded its electric fleet in recent weeks with even more Volvo trucks and a large order from Mercedes-Benz.
Katoen Natie’s first electric truck will be used for shuttle services between the Atlas Copco factory. Three additional Volvo Trucks have been added, also for Atlas Copco. At the same time, Katoen Natie has just received the first six Mercedes-Benz eActros 600 from the dealer Groep VDH from Herentals. “After previously purchasing diesel trucks from us, Katoen Natie has now decided to switch to electric vehicles, which clearly demonstrates their vision and confidence in our products,” says Peter Duyck (General Manager of Group VDH) happily. With this new delivery, Katoen Natie’s electric fleet exceeds the cape of 10 units.
