Team Falken veteran driver Justin Hall captured first place in the Best in the Desert’s Vegas to Reno race, the longest off-road race in the United States. Driving his Justin Hall Motorsports 4800 Class vehicle on 37-inch Falken Wildpeak M/T01 tires, Hall completed the 500-mile challenge in under 12 hours.
The point-to-point race began in Crystal, Nevada, about 50 miles north of Las Vegas, and ended in Reno. Drivers crossed deep silt, wide valleys, and narrow canyons along the rugged route. Thirteen pit locations gave teams the chance to make adjustments and stay in the competition.
Justin Hall shared driving duties with co-driver Chris Rea and teammates Johnny and JP Webster during Vegas to Reno. Together, they managed a smooth run, encountering only one flat tire after striking a rock, Team Falken said.
Hall’s consistency paid off. His team built and held a one-hour lead over second place, ultimately winning with a time of 11:59:03.226. The Falken Wildpeak M/T01 tires provided the durability needed to push through Nevada’s harsh terrain, Falken said.
Before the event, Hall and his team also competed in the Ultra 4 race from Vegas to Tonopah. They secured a second-place finish.
“Justin and the team made a stellar debut for the Justin Hall Motorsports 4800 class race car with two podiums in one day of racing,” said Bakari Howard, Falken Tires’ Motorsports Manager. “We are proud of their performance throughout their 12-hour race and are excited to watch them compete again.”
