Jungheinrich has won two iF Design Awards 2026 in the product design category. The autonomous mobile robot EAE 212a and the reach truck ETV 216i were awarded for their design, efficiency, user-friendliness and sustainability. This year’s international design competition received more than 10,000 entries from 68 countries.
The autonomous mobile robot EAE 212a (central photo) convinced the jury with a clear and functional design that focuses on intuitive use and high efficiency. The robot belongs to a new generation of autonomous solutions for flexible and safe use in dynamic warehouse environments. Thanks to its compact design, the system can be easily integrated into existing warehouse structures. The robot also has reliable navigation, a high degree of autonomy and intelligent software functions, including over-the-air updates. This enables a scalable material flow and should make the solution future-proof in the long term.
The ETV 216i reach truck also received praise for its advanced product design. According to Jungheinrich, this is the world’s first reach truck with an integrated lithium-ion battery. This ensures a compact design with optimal 360° visibility and high maneuverability. According to the manufacturer, the ergonomic layout and clear design contribute to an efficient, safe and comfortable working environment, even in narrow corridors or in intensive applications.
