Jungheinrich celebrates 50th anniversary in Belgium

Must read

Jungheinrich Belgium is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year. The Belgian branch of the international intralogistics group was founded on April 1, 1976 and grew into an important player in forklift and warehouse trucks, automation and energy solutions. Today the company has approximately 240 employees, including more than 120 technicians in-house and field. Especially for this 50th anniversary, Jungheinrich is temporarily renting an electric pallet truck EJE from April 1 to April 30, 2026 for only €50 per month.

The Belgian company is part of the Jungheinrich Group, active worldwide in material handling and intralogistics. With approximately 21,000 employees, the group achieved a turnover of 5.4 billion euros in 2024. The company has 12 production sites and is active in 42 countries.

Jungheinrich focuses on everything that goes on within the warehouse: from forklifts and racks to fully automated systems and intelligent software. It thus supports customers from industry, retail and logistics in organizing their goods flows more efficiently and sustainably.

The Belgian story started in Overijse, after which the company moved to Haasrode in 1982 and has been located in Heverlee since 2003. This evolution reflects not only the growth of Jungheinrich itself, but also the increasing importance of logistics and automation in Belgium.

“This anniversary is more than a milestone,” says Harm de Vries, Managing Director of Jungheinrich Belgium. “It is a moment to honor our history, but above all to look ahead. The future of intralogistics is digital, connected and automated. We continue to play a pioneering role in this.”

Transpallet EJE for €50 per month

To celebrate its 50th anniversary, Jungheinrich is offering an electric pallet truck EJE for rental for only €50 per month (excluding transport) from April 1 to 30, 2026. “An attractive, temporary offer for those looking for a reliable and agile solution, without a major investment,” it says. “Ideal for temporary work, peak periods or as a supplement to existing internal transport.”
