Hunter Engineering has launched cloud-based Inspection Live software for its Quick Check Drive and Quick Check Edge autonomous inspection systems. The update streamlines processes and introduces new capabilities for service lanes, Hunter said.
Hunter said Inspection Live now enables two service lanes to run from a single console. This setup lowers upfront costs and reduces the overall equipment footprint. Customers can also receive over-the-air updates immediately once released. Updates include weekly spec changes, monthly software improvements, and quarterly license plate recognition adjustments, Hunter said.
Hunter introduced a new subscription model to replace manual and onsite renewals. Customers can now choose a regular renewal payment cadence that covers body damage images, specs, and software updates. This approach eliminates the need for manual tracking while ensuring software stays current.
Hunter refreshed its Flightboard video monitor to make results more engaging for customers. The update includes eye-catching icons and improved tire tread visuals. These enhancements aim to make inspection data clearer, helping service advisors build stronger trust in the lane.
“Hunter’s Quick Check Drive has been finding additional revenue in the service lane for years,” said Mike Brecht, Hunter Product for Inspection. “Now Inspection Live speeds up the development cycle to get customers new features faster and easier than ever. This subscription-based model unlocks over-the-air updates and a more powerful PC can now run two lanes at once.”
Quick Check Drive and Quick Check Edge systems instantly measure alignment angles and tire tread depth as vehicles pass through the service lane, Hunter said. These autonomous inspections require no stopping or added labor, according to Hunter.
