Goodyear Tire & Rubber held a two-day ride and drive event showcasing two new tires, the Eagle F1 All Season and Goodyear Wrangler Outbound AT.
Eagle F1 All Season
Goodyear invited dealers and media to the Charlotte Motor Speedway on Day One to test out the Eagle F1 during a ride and drive. According to Goodyear, the Eagle F1 is a premium ultra-high-performance tire engineered to deliver handling, grip, and comfort in dry, wet, and light-snow conditions.
Goodyear said the Eagle F1 All Season expands its legacy in the ultra-high-performance segment. It said the tire brings motorsport-inspired performance to everyday driving. It offers technology for vehicles ranging from luxury sedans and sports coupes to performance-oriented crossovers.
Jenny Walker, director of consumer product marketing at Goodyear, said the team designed the tire with dealer feedback in mind. She explained why dealer education doesn’t stop at events like these.
“We heard feedback that the portfolio may need a refresh and needs to be more available,” she said. “We see this thing all the way through because we want us [and the dealers] to be successful. There’s quite a bit of educational learning in a number of ways. We even do broadcast events where dealers can submit questions.”
According to Goodyear, features of the Eagle F1 All Season include:
- Year-round reliance: A sporty tread pattern and added traction features provide grip in dry, wet, and even light snow conditions.
- Wet braking performance: Wet braking performance helps cut through rain and maintain control through every turn.
- Long-lasting performance: The compound enhances treadwear and durability, while a built-in wear gauge helps drivers track tire life.
- Track-inspired and road-ready: Goodyear said the Eagle F1 All Season brings track-level precision to the street.
“The Goodyear Eagle F1 All Season is a testament to Goodyear’s commitment to innovation and versatility,” said Jim Reese, director, category strategy and planning for Goodyear. “We’re proud to offer a tire that meets the needs of spirited drivers who want precision handling and all-season confidence, without switching tires.”
The Goodyear Eagle F1 All Season is now available through Goodyear’s retail network. Authorized dealers in the United States and Canada will have access.
Wrangler Outbound AT
On Day Two, Goodyear lined up the Wrangler Outbound AT for off- and on-road testing. The manufacturer said it engineered the Outbound AT for drivers who want rugged traction and durability off-road while maintaining comfort and control on-road.
How does Goodyear balance those capabilities? Walker said it comes down to the compound and knowing where their customers will use these tires the most.
“We wouldn’t say this is a split between a highway-terrain (HT) and rugged-terrain (RT) tire,” she said. “I would say it’s closer to an HT, because the focus is 80% comfort on the road, 20% off-road. To ensure durability, the tire is backed with DuPont Kevlar. The design and tuning are there to make sure it’s comfortable on the road. That’s where most people are going to be, after all.”
According to Goodyear, alongside DuPont Kevlar inside the tire, it also features an all-new tread design outside, and a compound meant to deliver handling on dirt and gravel and on-road performance in wet weather. Goodyear backs the Wrangler Outbound AT with up to a 65,000-mile tread life limited warranty.
The Goodyear Wrangler Outbound AT is now available through Goodyear’s retail network and authorized dealers in the United States and Canada. Goodyear backs it with a 60-Day Satisfaction Guarantee.
