Getax Logistics acquires QBC The Netherlands

Must read

Getax Logistics takes over QBC The Netherlands from Maastricht and is now called QBC Logistics. Founder and director Ivo Paulussen remains on board as a shareholder and director.

The acquisition is the result of many years of collaboration between both companies. What started as an operational partnership grew into a strategic collaboration. “The acquisition is a logical continuation of a strong relationship that has been built up over the years,” says CEO Filip Vanderstraeten of Getax Logistics.

QBC Logistics specializes in the transport of part loads (LTL), full loads (FTL) and express freight throughout Europe. These activities will be further expanded from the existing structure in Maastricht. With branches in Spain (Tarragona) and collaborations such as with GVS Logistics, Getax underlines its international expansion.

In addition, the group is responding to the growing demand for fine-grained distribution. Through the distribution network of Getax and Getron Logistics, QBC Logistics can now offer its customers a broader range of services in the Benelux and beyond.

With the acquisition, Getax Logistics realizes a third strategic objective within the Getax 2.0 business plan, after the rejuvenation of the shareholder base and the opening of a new branch with Getron Logistics in Nivelles. The group thus confirms its ambition to grow further as an integrated, international logistics player.
