Get Your Way expands the reach of its pharmaceutical traceability solution

Must read

The Liège start-up Get Your Way, specialized in securing the logistics of hospital pharmacies, can now extend its medicine traceability solution to all Walloon hospitals. An agreement to this effect has been signed with MercurHosp, a purchasing center that carries out public tender procedures on behalf of its members.

Since the entry into force of European medicines traceability regulations in 2020, hospitals must identify every product provided to patients. This poses a major logistical challenge, in an environment where heavy investments in automation would be required. Get Your Way meets this need with a digital solution consisting of two parts: a platform called Picking Pilot, which allows pharmacists to accurately manage their logistics activities, and an ergonomic scanning system worn on the wrist, called aRdent ScanDisplay, to guide operators in preparing the medicines. “With each scan, the product is checked and the batch is automatically registered. If the wrong product is scanned, an immediate warning ensures that this can be corrected before the error leaves the pharmacy. The results speak for themselves: after 15 months of use at the Hôpital de la Citadelle in Liège, 94% of the medicines are now traced and the error rate, which was already very low, has fallen by a factor of six. And all without extra effort for the employees,” explains Blaise Delhauthor, head pharmacist at the CHR Citadelle in Liège, from.

Get Your Way now wants to convince new hospitals in Belgium, but also expand to Luxembourg and France.
