Geodis takes over Malherbe – Transportmedia

Must read

One of the largest independent French transport companies has just lost its independence: Malherbe (almost 1,500 trucks) has been taken over by Geodis, which places it in the European top 3.

Malherbe was founded in 1956 and has built up a network of 40 branches, mainly in the west of France. In 2024, the group took a majority stake in the capital of the Luxembourg-based TLW Group, which in turn has a subsidiary in Belgium (Tradova Logistics). Malherbe employs approximately 3,300 people.

“The integration of Malherbe will be an important strategic lever to build a more resilient and sustainable national network. Together we will be able to offer a strong French alternative to the market, combining operational excellence, environmental performance and logistics sovereignty,” said Marie-Christine Lombard, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Geodis. The acquisition of Malherbe places GEODIS in the top 3 of the market for the transport of half and full loads, with a cumulative turnover of 2 billion.
