The Ferentino brand was established in 2017 by the UAE’s Onyx Group and began in earnest in 2021 with the production of radial tyres for light vehicles at an advanced $250 million production line in Sri Lanka after building a partnership with Marangoni, from whom Ferentino acquired machinery and technical know-how. But industrial and solid tyres were part of the Ferentino strategy from the beginning, including the establishment of Marangoni Industrial Tyres Srl in Italy (as well as entities in Germany and France) in 2017. Phased in over the last eight years, the Ferentino brand, which serves both as an indicator of a new strategic brand focus and a nod to Italian roots, is now taking over the headline of this Italo-Lankan industrial tyres entity, with Ferentino Tyre Srl becoming the new identity in 2026.
